Munster Junior Football & Hurling
Next Sunday will, no doubt, be one of the biggest days the club has had on its pitches all year. We will have Junior Hurling and Junior Football Munster Final's above and the crowd attending is going to be in the region of over 2000 people so this means we need everyone to pitch in with Stewarding. Its the last big match of the season so if we could give one last, united, push together we can show everyone that matches of this size are no bother to us.
The times of the matches are as follows.. AIB Munster GAA Club Junior Hurling Munster Final Fermoy(Cork) V Blackrock(Limerick) and throw in for this is 1:30pm.Then at 3:15PM we have the Munster GAA Club Junior Football Munster Final with Castlegregory(Kerry) V Mountcollins (Limerick). We are all meeting up in the club at 11:30am and we know this is allot to ask of everyone but if our club is to survive, we have to be a club. Every person will receive a ticket for a meal which they can get through out the day in the function room while matches are going on and we can stagger it through-out the day.
After the matches we would hope everyone who comes will come up to their club and have a drink or two as music will be also be provided. The other major thing is that we would hope that everyone would get a drive up to the club from their families as space will be a priority. Its the last game of the year folks so if we make one big push on Sunday we can all relax afterwards above in the club and have a bit of craic, plus its Ollie Buckley's birthday on Sunday so ye can all buy him a pint!!!! Busy Weekend for the Club
In fact next Weekend is turning out to be a busy weekend for the club with the street league Friday night and then Saturday the Gala Dinner for the 1959 team. The tickets for this are nearly gone and we would urge all remaining members who wish to go to get their tickets immediately.
On Sunday then we have a huge double-header in the AIB Munster GAA Club Junior Football Championship Final between Castlegregory(Kerry) and Mountcollins (Limerick) and the other game is the AIB Munster GAA Club Junior Hurling Championship Final between Fermoy(Cork) and Blackrock(Limerick)
50 year Anniversary Gala Dinner
What a momentous occasion this is for the club and to have all the surviving members back in the club and the families of those who have passed away.
We have a player coming from London and a player coming from Wales who by the way has not been home in 50 years. His name is Martin Gillane and the monday after the match he got on the boat and never came back since. He has finally been tracked down and is delighted to be coming back. What a pleasure it will be to show him how far we have come since 1959 and i hope all of you will come as this will be a great club night.
For €25 you will get a three course meal complimentary wine and music by the Sca's.

Congratulations to Eoin Buckley and Nicole Noonan(Pictured) who represented Mallow Gaa last Sunday at the Senior Football Final in Pairc Ui Caoimh. All the clubs involved in the Senior Football Championship had both an Under-12 boy and girl from their club and both Eoin and Nicole did us very proud. A big thanks to Ciara Kiely from the club who organised the handover of the Mallow Gaa club kit to both kids and for all the sterling work she has been doing for her club all year. Also a huge thanks ,once again, to Gerry Murphy who for all sections of the club has turned up, even at last minutes notice, to photograph the different events that have taken place involving the club during the year.
Cork GAA Club Draw
It's that time of the year again when the Cork G.A.A Clubs Draw is upon us with a total prize fund for 2009/2010-- 575,000K. After last years many wins for the club including a brand new car won by Elaine Sheehan i'm sure the town of Mallow are eager to get hold of their tickets! Please ring Mallow G.A.A Complex on 022-50757 to get yours. The first two draws for Sep/Oct '09 takes place on the 30th Oct and has a first prize for September a whopping 50,000k while the first prize for October is a brand new car... Mallow G.A.A would like to remind people that this is a vital source of income for the club with a total of 47euro out of every 100euro ticket going straight back into the club.. Thank you
Christmas Party Bookings
Also upon us, like it or not, is the time for booking your Christmas party and where better to have it but the ambient surroundings of Mallow G.A.A complex. The Billy Sheehan function room can accommodate parties of 2 - 160 people providing mouth watering food, a live band and Dj and outstanding friendly service as always.. Mallow GAA Sports Complex opened to the public on Monday 2nd April 2007. The new state of the art Sports Complex in Carrigoon, Mallow, provides sports and social facilities for Mallow GAA Club and the local community.
